Sarah graduated from Victoria University in 2022 with a passion for treating people from all walks of life. Her intention is to treat patients holistically, focussing on returning the body to full function with the aid of manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation. This includes stretching, mobilisations, joint articulations, dry needling, cupping and massage techniques.
Since graduating, Sarah has completed a Clinical Pilates course with DMA physiotherapy. This course compliments her work in the clinic room, allowing patients to be rehabilitated in a different way, focusing on functional stability rather than core stability. Sarah loves bringing this knowledge to her group pilates sessions, emphasising on injury prevention ahead of injury management. Sarah says the most enjoyable part of teaching pilates is ‘allowing individuals to challenge themselves and their peers in a supportive, fun, safe and controlled environment’.
Aside from osteo, Sarah loves to watch and umpire netball. She enjoys going to the gym, long runs with her dog scooby and an occasional swim session. To unwind, she enjoys going on day trips across Victoria and dining at the local restaurants.

Connie Huang
Reformer Pilates Instructor
Connie currently works as a materials planner and procurement officer at Koko Black (yes Koko Black the chocolate). In her free time, she is super passionate in doing 5+ Pilates classes per week for her own fitness goals. She also loves dining out in many different areas of Melbourne. She is a self proclaimed ‘foodie’ as she used to be a chef.
Connie decided to become a Pilates instructor not only to deepen her own knowledge and experience of Pilates but also to inspire and guide others in experiencing the positive transformations it can bring to both mind and body, as well as overall wellness.
Connie has a kind and caring demeanour which flourishes through her class flows and sequences.
You will find Connie teaching our Monday evening class block at
5:30pm, 6:15pm, 7pm and alternating Sunday mornings.
Sarah is a Health and PE teacher who used to work as a dental nurse prior to becoming a teacher. She has a passion for all things health (and teeth!) and loves sharing her knowledge with her students. Sarah mostly teaches senior students and delivers the VET in Schools program, teaching the Certificate 3 in Health Services course. This is aimed at students who are hoping to have a career in the health industry. Along with teaching in the classroom, Sarah is a Year Level Leader, looking after 200 student’s wellbeing, behaviour and academic needs – as well anything else they constantly knock on her door looking for advice on!
Sarah has been fortunate enough to travel the world, including as a volunteer teacher in Uganda, and as dental nurse in Benin (West Africa), working on the Mercy Ship, the largest private hospital ship in the world, which helps some of the poorest and marginalised people in the world access healthcare.
Sarah has two young children, Robbie and Amber, who keep her on her toes. She loves seeing them do their own version of ‘Pilates’ and they can often be found on the floor doing this together.
Sarah turned to Pilates about ten years ago as a form of rehab when recovering from hip surgery. It turned out to be the best way to recover from her surgery, as well as the best way to prevent any further damage. She moved away from the gym setting for exercise to focus on Pilates as it was the best thing for her body. With a new found love of Pilates, Sarah completed her Diploma of Pilates in 2020, and went on to work mostly with pre and postnatal and teenage clients in a studio setting. After a small break while having her children, Sarah is looking forward to getting back into instructing.

Reformer Pilates Instructor
Hi, I’m Alexandria. Known as Flexi Lexi in my younger years, which feels particularly fitting considering my Pilates career pathway!
I’m a mum of two beautiful humans. I love travelling and indulging in a dirty martini on occasion, but my real passion lies in helping people whether it be through movement, a good chat, or a laugh about the latest Housewives episode.
I first came to Major Movement for a Remedial Massage and soon discovered a genuine love for Reformer Pilates. My journey from student to teacher has been transformative. It has helped me reconnect with my body, supported my mental health, and given me a new purpose in life guiding others to achieve their health movement & mindset goals. I aim to help people nail their Pilates form by understanding the foundation of Pilates movement. From my experience, this fundamental knowledge transcends the classroom and can enhance how you feel and move in your everyday life, which is why I am so passionate about teaching this amazing gift to others.
I love that through Pilates, people from all walks of life can come together in a class no matter what age, fitness level or body type. When you attend class at Major Movement, you can expect to enter an encouraging space that allows you to explore the extent of your body’s capabilities without judgment. My ultimate goal is to help you feel empowered and confident to challenge yourself, make mistakes, and grow stronger. I don’t take myself too seriously, but I am serious about helping you feel your best…and having some fun while you’re at it.
